Following on from Blokhe4ds thundering debut single on Bad Taste Last Days of Disco, were pleased and excited to have another new name gracing the label. Hailing from the South of England Luke Ellis aka Loki has been mastering the art of filthy, rolling, dirty Drum & Bass for the past few years. Taking inspiration from producers new and old including Bad Company, Spor, Noisia and the likes Loki stamps his own unique sound on proceedings and lands on Bad Taste Recordings with this impressive debut single. Splash Damage is an all out aural assault as a frantic introduction gives way to an unnerving silence before the real mayhem kicks in. Hard betas, combine with a morphing lead riff which all underpinned by some brutal distorted sub bass. Dreamweaver is the antidote the mayhem of Splash Damage, and as such is a much more controlled rolling slice of techy D&B. Loki retains the tough rolling beats which drive the track, however its bassline that steals the show, as it slips, slides and morphs it way through the track.
